Pastor Rex

Rex and his wife Debbie have served the Grace Point congregation for almost three decades, serving as youth pastor from 1980-1983, then returning as youth pastor in 1994.  On May 29, 1999, our lead pastor Jerry Stipp passed away from a brain tumor. Pastor Rex was appointed interim pastor and served for nine months. At that time, the church began construction on our 5.6 million dollar relocation to Mayhew Road. Pastor Rex served in youth ministry until 2004 when he became associate pastor. In this role, he has been interim pastor for three additional pastoral transitions and has faithfully served the church and our lead pastors.

Rex and Debbie have two grown children, Tyler and Ryan. Tyler is married to Patrick Mahoney, our former children's pastor's son. They have three children, Connor, Aubrey and Ella.

Pastor Rex has a BA in Religion from Mount Vernon Nazarene College. A Masters of Pastoral Counseling from Olivet Nazarene University and a Doctorate in Higher Education Leadership from Azusa Pacific University.
